Most of the time you hear of people begging the powers that be NOT to send them to prison. In my case I fought FOR the opportunity to go to a corrections facility. Growing up, I passed the California Men’s Colony on highway 1 almost daily and over time my curiosity grew as I wondered about what life was like on the inside. I will have an opportunity to find out as I have been “sentenced” for 6 weeks to the medical wing of the medium-security prison for men near Spokane, WA. I hope I look good in orange!
