I thought if you loved someone that the perfect way to show it was by baking, specifically cookies. Think about it; there are so many different types you can "personalize" that specific batch for whomever the recipient is. And the whole time the cookies are in process you're thinking about that person (or couple ie Erin and James!). I know that when I get a plate of cookies, that were made specifically with me in mind (white chocolate chip, preferable soft in case you were wondering) I feel really touched and loved. Hopefully if you've ever gotten cookies for me then you felt that same way too!
But now a whole new level has emerged. I am sitting here studying for my uber stressful, daunting, final PA exam (which is tomorrow fyi) and Uncle Joe comes in with hand-peeled ruby red grapefruit. He sat down, peeled the rind off then commenced to peel off all of the white fuzzy pulp AND even the clear skin parts that separate each piece. Leaving me with nothing more to do than pop deliciously sweet pieces of grapefruit into my mouth and feel very special while I was doing it. That. is. love.
